Experimenting with a pencil sketch I scanned. :) Hope you like!

I liked the new two-parter from yesterday. The nightmare door scene was my favorite for some reason. They really had me there for a second when Celestia said Twilight failed! Spike's fear vision was pretty sad too.

Man. I've had this in my favorites for a while, and I just have to say, you play up the vulnerability of this moment better than any other artist I've managed to find. Most of the art focuses on Twilight going mad with power under dark magic's influence, but I love how you just stick with the spirit of the moment and make it look like Twilight just needs a hug.

It's tough to get "feels" (as the kids call it) from me, but this comes damned close.

I bet Spike's fear had to do with what happened in episode 24. The only few things I see Spike's truly afraid of is becoming too big to live with his friends in Ponyville and with Ponies in general, or living longer than his friends only to see them die and him continuing to live for years with such sorrow.

Those are two of my favorite headcanons! I always see comics and fanfics with Spike having to leave Ponyville because of his size and ones where he has to deal with all his friends slowly fading away. It's so sad. :'(

Some people may not like sad stories or scary ones. (I can handle certain horror literature, but not all. But it can teach me something I'll learn to overcome it.)

The purest of hearts aren't ones full of just light or just darkness, a pure heart needs a perfect balance as one can have good intentions but they need reminders to make sure they don't stray off course.
